Sattva Master Teacher · Pilgrimage guide
Sai (Simon Keenan) is a Sattva Yoga Master, pilgrimage guide, and the founder of Wisdom of the Way and Terra de Luz (“Land of Light”), an open home for pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago in Spain.
For more than a decade Sai has devoted his life to accompanying people on both their outer journeys and their inner journey of discovery. His service weaves together yoga, meditation, storytelling and pilgrimage, creating spaces where people can reconnect with themselves, with nature, and with the deeper wisdom that often reveals itself through walking.
Based on the Camino de Santiago, Sai guides individuals and small groups on pilgrimage journeys along the path, and also offers 1-to-1 mentoring, supporting people through reflection, life transitions and personal transformation.
Sai first came to yoga when a dream of travelling the world by motorbike unexpectedly fell apart in India. The experience opened a doorway that eventually led him to the teachings of Sattva Yoga - a path that has shaped his life and service ever since.
An adventurer at heart, Sai has travelled tens of thousands of kilometres around the world by foot, bicycle, kayak and motorbike. He also hosts the Wisdom of the Way Podcast, where he speaks with pilgrims, adventurers, storytellers and wisdom keepers about the deeper meaning of walking the path of life. The podcast is available on YouTube (@wisdomoftheway) and Spotify.
To remember that there is not one moment of my life, of my day, that yoga is not touching. The endless invitation to open, to love, to realize... and to experience unity.
Walking meditations - synchronising the breath, the step, and the great mantra HARI OM MA. (My walking prayer is: Hari - remove what is not true, Om - reveal what is real, Ma - hold me in love).
That the teachers are everywhere, and are coming everyday, if only I allow myself to see and receive them.
Even when it is challenging and it hurts, choose love - it's the only way to be fully established in it.
The simplicity of life and the wisdom of nature (that is a part of, and lives in, all of us)
The deepest connection with self... which includes being able to see, accept and hold the full experience of this moment and who we are. To enjoy the realisation of the eternal self and expand the glimpses of the divine within whilst not needing any of it to arise in our experience.
